Always His.

“No creature is concealed from him,
but everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of him”

Words from our First Reading Saturday, January 19th, from the Letter to the Hebrews.

No matter how far we feel we are from God, he is still infinitely close.

A paradox, for sure. A mystery.
Absent, yet wholly present.

Even in our darkest of days, he is there.

Dwelling with us.
Living with us.
Dining with us.
Listening to us.
Speaking to us.
Whispering to us.
Working in us.
Working through us.

That’s a mystery we will never understand.

No sin is too big.
No valley too deep.
No absence too long.
No distance too far.

We can never escape this presence.

We are his.
Always his.
