“When he heard that John had been arrested, he withdrew to Galilee.”
Jesus started out small.
He didn’t begin his ministry in the epicenter of Jewish life – the place of power, influence, and authority.
Instead, he went North, 90 miles away from the Temple, to the outskirts of the land.
He preached a new Kingdom to them.
He brought the real Kingdom first to the small people – the forgotten people – preaching repentance and healing.
For generations, the world looked past these people, but Jesus went to them first.
Who are the small people among us?
Who are those that seemingly go unnoticed?
Who are the people that we take for granted and forget about?
These are the people that got God’s attention first, and in turn, should get ours.
